The key difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist is that, in addition to or as part of their qualification in human nutrition, a dietitian has undertaken a course of study that included substantial theory and supervised and assessed professional practice in clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy and food service management.
Therefore, in Australia, all dietitians are considered to be nutritionists however, nutritionists without a dietetics qualification cannot take on the specialised role of a dietitian.

You will receive an email from us 1-2 days prior to your appointment to complete an online pre-visit form collecting details such as your usual eating pattern, food records and personal health goals via a secure online form. Yes. HICAPS facilities are available in most of our clinics. Please bring along your health fund card. Ultimately, we will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your health fund provider for claims.
Unfortunately, we do not collect cash payment in the clinic. However, we accept all card payment via our EFTPOS terminal.
Ancillary services such as Know Your Body plan and Weekly Meal Plan are subjected to additional fees. We accept all card payment via our EFTPOS terminal. Note however a surcharge of 1.8% + GST is levied on all American Express Card transactions.
In the event that you need to reschedule/cancel your appointment, please call the medical centre or email us at least 24 hours prior to your appointed day and time. This will allow other clients the opportunity to use these times. Appointment cancellation with less than 24 hours notification, incurs a $50.00 cancellation fee. No show fee of $50 applies too.

Food and Nutrition
Our meals are designed for general healthy eating. If you require specific dietary guidance including pregnancy/breastfeeding, specific age groups such as children/teenagers or if you’ve an existing medical condition, we strongly suggest that you consult your Doctor or speak to our Dietitian.
We’ll introduce special meal plans as the demand increases, so let us know what you’re after and we’ll strive to deliver to keep you motivated, on track and engaged to achieve!
Note that our meals are packed and portioned according to weight and that quantity/pieces shown in images may vary from what you receive each delivery.
To ensure quality, our kitchen follows a tight ship when it comes to packing each meal with regular audits to ensure you get the right amount and quality ingredients each and every time.
Whenever possible we’ll use locally grown produce to support small businesses and provide you with meals that contain the most nutrients possible. We think trying new things and being adventurous with flavours and textures is important in the total food experience. For some ingredients that are trending, locally sourced may not be an option but we will be transparent from the get go to let you know.
Our meals are cooked fresh, chilled and packed into a sealed container. We use insulated biodegradable bags made from natural wool fibre combined with ice pack and refrigerated transport vehicles to ensure safe food temperature control during the delivery process. Although our transport boxes will keep meals cold for a period of time, it’s advised to get them into a refrigerator as soon as you receive the order.
All our meals are designed to be consumed within 3-4 days of delivery to maintain freshness, quality and food safety.
Some meals/snacks have a shorter shelf life depending on the ingredients used. Always check the ‘use by date’ before consumption.
We do recommend eating any meals with fish or seafood within the first 2 days of delivery.
Our company mission is to deliver fresh nutritious meals without compromising the quality and taste. We don’t add any additives or preservatives to prolong the shelf life.

Generally it takes 2 1/2 -3 minutes of reheating time. Specific heating instructions are included on all food packaging.
Over the course of a week you’ll get a variety of quality protein from fish or seafood, red meat, poultry, legumes, soy, eggs and dairy. We’ll also provide a variety of whole grains ranging from ancient pseudo grains like quinoa and freekeh, to well known rice, barley, corn, rye and wheat varieties plus whatever is trending at the time. And let’s not forget seasonal fruits and vegetables sourced right from our own shores.

Good nutrition is about variety, quality, quantity and timing of the food and drinks we choose every day. We focus on meeting your nutrition needs using fresh, real whole foods from all the essential five food groups. You might not get every food group in each meal but if you sign up to our complete plan, you can be assured that each day you will get a variety and combination of each to help you meet your needs.
We don’t believe that healthy eating should be reduced to single nutrients, that’s why we prefer to look at food groups instead. Sure we look at cutting down some nutrients we know aren’t good for our health but we also recognise the importance of taste in developing healthier eating habits too.
Our Dietitian has loosely set a target range for these nutrients to help our Chef with their recipes development, but in most part, our criteria focuses on providing you more serves of whole foods from the 5 food groups at each meal based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
Allergies, Food Intolerances and Special Dietary Needs
Allergens that do enter our kitchen include egg, fish, crustacea, milk, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, wheat and other gluten containing grains. Those who suffer a medically diagnosed food allergy to any of these allergens must assess their risk independently as we cannot guarantee our products are completely free from any allergens.
We do have meals available that contain no gluten containing ingredients. However, if you’re medically diagnosed as being a coeliac, it’s important you know that while we take all due care to minimise contamination of our gluten-free meals, we do not test our meals for gluten and they may contain traces.
If you have a life threatening allergy, we strongly advise not to consume any commercially prepared ready to eat meals, including those prepared by DietitianChong.
When it comes to food intolerances, we certainly can develop meals for you outside of our regular plans but this will attract a premium price if our current recipes don’t cater to your needs. Please talk to us for more information on a completely personalised menu and costs associated.
Our vegetarian meals contain no animal flesh, including fish. They may however contain egg or products made from milk like cheese or yoghurt. If you need meals without these products, please talk to our team to tailor a plan specifically for your needs.

Delivery within Sydney Metro incurs a flat fee of $15 for meal orders above $89 and $25 for meal orders less than $89.
We pay extra attention to food safety. We only deliver your order in temperature controlled vehicles to ensure you receive a quality and safe food products.

We’re always working to reduce waste and landfill through partnering with like minded suppliers.
- Our food is delivered using insulator made from 100% sustainable and compostable felted sheep’s wool, sealed within recyclable food grade polyethylene wrap. This wool is considered waste wool therefore has the added benefit of helping to reduce landfill.
- Our meal containers and delivery boxes are manufactured using a minimum of 75% recycled materials, which are also 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
